FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is home staging?

Home stagers prepare your home for sale by furnishing, accessorising and finishing it in a light that will make it easier for a buyer to visualise it as their own.

When do you style my home?

We style homes generally once you have appointed an agent but prior to advertising and photography. A staged home listed online can attract up to 3 times the daily average views on your property page. This converts into viewings in person and helps sell your property quicker and for the best possible price.

Why should I stage my home when it already has furniture in it?

Whilst we may love the home we live in, and it may be beautiful, home stagers gear your property to appeal to the largest spread of buyers. Once a home has been completely decluttered it gives the stager an opportunity to reassess the flow.

Won’t an empty home look bigger?

This is a common misconception. A blank canvas is just that, you may have some measurements on a floorplan, but they don’t easily convert to understanding the functionality of the space, so another point of reference is needed to fully visualise and fall in love with it. An empty room where you can see the corners has no positive impact on a buyer. A staged home with a cohesive flow allows viewers to imagine themselves living there.

How much does home staging cost?

Staging a 1-bedroom apartment can cost as little as $1,500 and can range up to and in excess of $10,000. It really depends on the home. A 3-bedroom home stage starts from $2,500.

How long does it take to stage a home?

We can furnish homes with little fuss and, as we own all our pieces, quickly too. Staging takes 1-2 days once the property is vacated; ideally, we have 1 weeks’ notice.
We appreciate people are time poor, once they have decided to sell they prefer to have this done swiftly and as hassle free as possible so they can move to their next venture.
